Why Xeomin
XEOMIN® was the first clinically proven anti-wrinkle injection uniquely purified to remove unnecessary proteins. Stripped free from unnecessary extras, it’s the purest choice for smoothing wrinkles without overdoing it.
And here's the best part: unlike some other treatments, XEOMIN® doesn’t mess around with long-term resistance. That means it keeps working, and even after repeat treatments, you’ll get the desired results with no compromise on effectiveness.
XEOMIN® fits right in with our ethos of natural, balanced beauty, setting you up for results that are tailored to and totally you.
DOES IT HURT?
At Skin Poet, we use a special saline formula to reduce any discomfort. Our clients tolerate it well, and with Amber’s 23 years of experience, you’re in safe hands.
How long does it last?
We recommend starting with treatments every 3 months for the best long-term effect. Results last depending on lifestyle, area treated, and your body's metabolism - for example, if you exercise a lot or have a period of stress, your treatment might not last as long. For some, 4-6 monthly touch-ups may work just fine.
Is it safe & ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Neurotoxins have been safely used for over 20 years, and XEOMIN® has a stellar safety record. With its pure formulation, it’s the choice that works in harmony with your skin.
Minor side effects following treatment may include small bruises, redness, headache and temporary brow droop/asymmetry.
When will I see results?
You’ll start noticing changes in just a few days, with full results visible in about two weeks.

FAQs about anti-wrinkle
If you are new to anti-wrinkle and want to be more prepared when you arrive for your consultation, here is an easy to follow guide. All the dumb questions and answers, so you don’t have to x
-
Anti-wrinkle AKA Botox/Xeomin is a medication that is expertly injected into certain muscles to relax them. Once relaxed, you are temporarily unable to move them. In turn, the muscle relaxes, leaving a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

We can treat most people, though individual results vary. Factors such as age, sun damage, genetics and muscle overuse can worsen fine lines. Whether you’re young and seeking preventative treatment or feeling tired and concerned by hormonal changes (we’re looking at you, perimenopause), we tailor care to your unique needs.

We send out an automated consent and questionnaire before your appointment. Once you have arrived and checked in, we will take you through for your medical photography. We prefer to have quality, consistent before and after photos, and it is a necessary tool for us in our practice. We will then invite you into our treatment room for a personalised consultation. We begin by asking what brings you here. Be believe in patient-led conversations. If you want us to talk you through our options we will also do so. We then go through what you would like to achieve and what we can offer. You will always know what you are spending before we go ahead. We then will discuss why we use Xeomin and what you are likely to get out of the treatment. We will discuss how long it usually lasts, how differing quantities work and what to expect. We will go over your medications and health concerns too. Then we do the treatment! With anti-wrinkle, it only takes a few minutes to do the actual treatment. You will always get a 30 minute appointment. You will never feel rushed and we are always flexible. Chat and councilling comes free with purchase too 😉

Results vary from person to person, but please allow 2-14 days for anti-wrinkle to begin working. Most people come back at 3 months. Then they are back before they drop back to baseline, making it much better long term. We always schedule a 2 week follow up for new clients and all clients are welcome to book a follow up if they perhaps need a bit more.

Recovery is minimal and aftercare is straightforward. Please avoid exercise for 24 hours and postpone any appointments that require lying face-down or wearing a hat or helmet. Do not apply makeup for 4 hours after your treatment.
To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid the following before your appointment: vigorous exercise, caffeine, anti-inflammatories (including Nurofen), alcohol and blood-thinning medications. Significant swelling is unlikely after this treatment.

This is a tricky one, but a range can help give you an idea of spend. Baby Botox dosing usually sits at the low end and a more frozen/longer lasting amount is usually double.
Frown $170-$400
Forehead $100-$400
Crows feet $68-$200 per side
Brow lift $102
These vary from person to person for so many reasons, so if your friend is spending $x you may not be the same.
