BBL Hero™ is a modern light therapy, and is the most advanced and versatile Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system in its class. It treats conditions from pigmentation, redness, dilated vessels, rosacea, acne, unwanted hair and has skin tightening capabilities.
How does BBL Hero work?
The light energy delivered by the BBL™ will gently heat up the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to generate new collagen. This photo rejuvenation will help restore your skin to its natural beauty by smoothing out an uneven skin tone, removing dark spots and stimulating collagen. In addition, the photo thermal energy will target and eliminate many of the broken veins that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmentation and an uneven skin tone.
What can you expect with BBL Hero?
BBL™ technology utilises the power of phototherapy to deliver excellent results in photo rejuvenation. By selecting the appropriate wavelength or filter, your skin specialist will be able to treat a broad range of skin conditions caused by skin ageing and sun damage. As a result, your skin will be smoother, more vibrant and will have a more youthful appearance. Redness, broken capillaries, sun spots, freckles, and pigmentation can also all be diffused with the BBL™.
During the treatment, you can expect a warm sensation and a bright light (you will have eye protection on). Usually we treat the face as a whole, then we can target any stubborn brown spots or red veins. Your face should feel warm and flushed for several hours after the treatment, and your pigmented areas will appear darker for a few days before it gently, in its own time, sloughs away.
We encourage you to wear a good SPF and to not pick or scrub your skin as this is healing. You may need several treatments, depending on the severity of your skin condition.
