Why use Moxi™?
Moxi™ is designed to provide tonal and textural improvements to your face with low downtime, resulting in skin renewal. Moxi™ improves the integrity and structure of the skin. All skin tones, all year round. Think of it’s the gentle approach to laser resurfacing, with a short downtime. (compared to an ablative treatment). This is the latest technology in cosmetic lasers and is safe and effective on darker skinned clients. It is also safe to use when you have melasma (the mask of pregnancy), which in the past has been tricky to treat.
We suggest the use of a tyrosinase inhibitor after your treatment, to keep the melasma at bay.
How does Moxi™ work?
Laser energy penetrates the skin and creates micro-coagulation that the body then repairs, replacing damaged cells with fresh new ones, this triggering pigment removal, as well as activating the skin's natural repair processes. This micro-damage causes the rebuilding of collagen, a protein key to keeping the skin youthful-looking and full of volume skin.
What can you expect with Moxi™?
Immediately after the treatment, you will notice heat and redness in the treated areas. Some people experience a mild swelling, mainly in the upper cheeks and under the eyes. Tiny dots will appear that are known as MENDS, these will have the texture of sandpaper and will last usually from day 2-7. They will slowly slough away as your skin heals, revealing a bright and more even skin tone. Your pores may appear smaller and fine lines softer. Everyone is different, and your healing will be different from the next person. 1 treatment at the highest setting, should give you a lovely rejuvenated result.
